Exhibited as part of the end-of-year exhibition for MA Art Psychotherapy students, 2026.
The opportunity to weave a large-scale tapestry using a Japanese floor loom at Freeweaver Studio was generous funded by LIVING PROOF.
‘Where are we weaving?' integrates miscellaneous artworks from projects across the academic year into a larger scale tapestry, woven using a Japanese floor loom, natural fibres and earth pigment dyes. The process of embedding forgotten and found textiles - including embroidery threads, fabric scraps, rope, ribbon and a knitted frill - into the weave is reminiscent of the forgotten and found objects belonging to various past projects. Curating our end-of-year show has felt to be a collective entwining of our creativities and integration of our reflections, despite the systems attacking our thinking.
