Darning and Mending

As I stitch together the soft holes in my worn socks, I am reminded that all that is broken can be repaired. I have found the quiet focus of darning to be an incredibly therapeutic process - the repetition of sewing the weave, the attention to the small and valuable, and the reciprocation of care - my socks support me and I care for them! The practice of mending is fundamental to building a better future, where earth’s materials and our shared labour is cherished.
