Co-curated and organised with Florence Maclennan, 'Can i borrow your lighter?' was a cabaret-style event held at Matchstick Piehouse in Deptford, London. The evening was filled with performances, poetry, films and live music about unexpected and intimately shared moments that bring people together. After so long in a period of isolation, we created a space dedicated to celebrating creativity, meeting new people and having fun! We choreographed and curated the opening performance featuring ridiculous masks based on our own silliness, paired with Florence’s handmade tops with personalised lighter pockets. The process of making was fuelled by excitement and the evening was a dance of love.
